RedotPay Launches Physical Cards
RedotPay Launches Physical Cards: Global Applications Now Open
RedotPay, the Hong Kong–based crypto payments platform, has rolled out its physical RedotPay Card with worldwide application access. Users can apply directly in the app via Apply for a Card. The physical card supports in-person payments and fiat ATM withdrawals at compatible machines around the world.
Where (and how) the RedotPay Card works

- Hong Kong roots, global reach: A first-of-its-kind crypto card initiative from a Hong Kong head-quartered project in Central.
- Virtual first, physical follow-up: Earlier this year RedotPay introduced a virtual card inside the app—compatible with services such as Google Pay, PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat Pay—so users could start paying online right away.
- Everyday spending: From public transport and dining to shopping, ride-hailing, and subscription services (e.g., Netflix), users can route payments through their RedotPay balance.
- Why the physical card matters: It unlocks cash access at ATMs (where supported by the card network) and expands acceptance in places that still prefer card-present transactions (swipe, chip, tap).
Applying for a RedotPay Card
Register an account with $5 Rebate, then Download RedotPay on iOS or Android, complete verification, and apply inside the app. Card fees are paid by pre-loading crypto into your RedotPay wallet.
Physical Card – steps

- Verify identity (KYC) and deposit the crypto amount needed for card fees.
- Go to Apply for a Card → Physical Card → Order Card.
- Enter billing address, shipping address, and signature.
- Confirm payment for the card fee.
- Wait for production & shipping; you’ll receive updates in the app.
- Activate the card when it arrives using the provided instructions.
Virtual Card – steps

- Verify identity (KYC) and fund the wallet for the virtual card fee.
- Open Apply for a Card → Virtual Card → Order Card.
- Provide your billing address.
- Confirm payment; the virtual card typically activates within minutes.
Typical timelines: Virtual card activation can take ~10 minutes. Physical card issuance is instant on the platform side, while manufacturing & shipping generally require 5–10 business days before you activate.
Using the physical RedotPay Card
- ATM withdrawals: Take out local currency from ATMs that accept the supported card network globally (fees/limits may apply).
- Card-present payments: Make tap, chip, or swipe payments at merchants that prefer physical cards—useful in regions with limited e-payment adoption.
Safety, compliance, and monitoring
RedotPay states that it operates within Hong Kong’s regulatory environment and partners with established vendors to protect users and their transactions.
- KYC / identity checks: Conducted with Sumsub, applying extensive sanctions screening lists (including UN frameworks) to prevent illicit activity.
- KYT / transaction monitoring: In partnership with Beosin, tools like EagleEye and Trace help monitor on-chain activity and safeguard users’ funds.
- Account architecture: Each user receives a unique blockchain address; the card is separated from wallet assets, so card issues (e.g., a card freeze) do not lock the wallet.
- Asset custody: User assets are held by a licensed Trust or Company Service Provider (TCSP) in Hong Kong. Users are recorded as the owners of their digital assets, supporting ownership rights even in stress scenarios.
Important availability notes
Products and features are jurisdiction-dependent. Some countries/regions are not supported. Always confirm eligibility, terms, fees, and limits on the official site or inside the app before completing KYC or making deposits.
Quick FAQ
Can anyone apply for the RedotPay Card?
Applications are global, but service availability depends on your jurisdiction and verification status.
What’s the difference between virtual and physical cards?
The virtual card is instant and great for online payments and mobile wallets. The physical card adds ATM withdrawals and card-present acceptance (tap/chip/swipe).
How long does shipping take for the physical card?
Production and delivery typically take 5–10 business days, after which you activate the card. But it still depends on the region distance from Asia.
Are my assets safe if my card is frozen?
RedotPay states the card is separated from wallet assets; card-related issues shouldn’t restrict deposits or withdrawals from your wallet.
